3 Mar 2010 - PROMOTION FOR OSL SENIOR ENGINEER
Hull-based oil and gas consultancy, OSL, which is currently working on projects in the UK, Europe and Nigeria, has appointed Scott Marrison as Projects Manager.
After a brief spell in the RAF, Scott spent five years with a Lincolnshire-based engineering consultancy working on a range of projects in the chemicals, pharmaceuticals and oil and gas sectors. He gained his chartership status with IMechE (the Institute of Mechanical Engineering) in 2004.
Having worked with OSL on a contract basis for several years, Scott accepted a staff position as a senior engineer in January 2009 and successfully managed the front end engineering design for a 30 million dollar LPG storage and distribution facility at Apapa, near Lagos, Nigeria.
Once operational, the plant will help to transform the lives of many thousands of Nigerians who until now have had to rely on a limited fuel supply consisting mainly of Government subsidised household kerosene.
Scott said: “At OSL, we have a compact team of very skilled and experienced oil and gas professionals whose reputation is already well known across the UK, parts of Europe and other countries, such as Nigeria. Being part of that team and being given responsibility to oversee some very significant engineering projects is a real privilege.”
OSL was formed in 2005 and is based in Freightliner Road, Hull.
