Front End Engineering Design (FEED)
OSL was commissioned to undertake a FEED Study for the Rationalisation of Offshore Operations for a reduced operating cost base. The location of compression equipment, metering and separation requirements were all challenged in a new operating environment, together with the associated impact on the onshore facility requirements.

As an example of our role in the European gas storage industry, OSL is currently providing the client team to manage the FEED contract, prepare the project sanction documentation for the joint venture and subsequent management of the EPIC contractor through the detailed design, construction and commissioning.
The project consisted of the installation of the world’s first 100 bargrated ship-to-shore HP gas unloading arm at the first UK regasification port, and downstream gas metering and treatment systems that were subsequently connected to the national grid via a buried delivery pipeline.
In an ever-changing global gas and energy market, there will always be a requirement to extend field life, extract more reserves and develop marginal opportunities wherever and whenever possible.
