Alastair Robertson (Technical and Finance)
Alastair is a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers and has over 20 years of experience in the Gas Processing Industry. He has an in-depth knowledge of the Gas Production business having worked as a consultant for most of the Gas Producing companies in the UK. As an Engineering Consultant he has been involved in many multi-million pound projects including Gas Terminal expansion, Onshore Gas Production, Onshore Gas Storage and Offshore Gas production. With experience in all areas of project development, Mr Robertson is able to provide technical experience and expertise from strategic and business planning to implementation and operation. Prior to setting up Optimus Mr Robertson was responsible for starting and managing the Oil and Gas Division of another engineering consultancy for 8 years.
Nick Jones (Technical and Projects)
Nick is a Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and has over 20 years of experience in the Gas Processing Industry. He has an in-depth knowledge of Gas Compression and Power Generation systems having worked as a consultant for many of the major Gas and Power Producing companies in the UK. As an Engineering Consultant he has been involved in many multi-million pound projects ranging from new compression plants and existing plant upgrades to new CHP power stations. He has worked on projects both on and offshore incorporating both the Design and Specification of rotating equipment as well as providing long term operational support to a number of Southern North Sea installations and troubleshooting existing machinery issues. With this unique experience, Mr Jones is able to provide technical expertise in business development involving compression and power. Prior to setting up Optimus Mr Jones was responsible for managing the Oil and Gas Division of another engineering consultancy for 4 years.
